I’ve taken a few short trips on Minn Kota in a regular inflatable boat and noticed that the maximum gear (5) must always be used when traveling so that the progression doesn’t feel like crawling. Otherwise, has played well. However, I only give 2 stars because Minn Kota does not have a separate power switch. The only way to turn the power off is to set the shift lever to the Off position and it is a very uncertain way. One day I was wondering what the sound of a boat from the shore was. When I went to see, I noticed that the propeller was spinning! Apparently the boat had swung due to the wind and the gear lever had moved so much that the engine was no longer in the Off position, even though it looked like it. A separate switch must be tuned to the power cord to prevent this from happening again.

Experience a similar game under the name Yamaha. So I don’t expect any problems for the summer. There is enough power here to tow a bigger boat in addition to your own (there is experience). Doesn't get caught in a reed. It is not worth driving to the beach at high speed and relying on the package. Due to the design of the propeller, it does not stop quite quickly. But on the other hand it doesn’t go brisk even if a little bottom rocks dredge. Delivery came quickly.
