In the past, I thought I had to have sheltered weather to be able to build from the snow. I was wrong. Iglo was born in the yard even though it was 14 degrees below zero - and it was fun for both children and parents :-)

— Show originalWe also made the first igloo. We made a medium sized igloo and the construction was fun and relatively fast. The first igloo went 2 hours. I recommend reading the Finnish manual properly. It avoids the mistakes we at least suppressed ourselves on the first construction.
It is advisable to freeze the snow around the center pin with water so that the center pin stays in place better.
We bought the igloo mold ourselves with three families as a bundle purchase. That way the price / family of the product is not that bad. — Show originalFirst igloo built - absolutely brilliant rebellion this igloo mold. Another igloo is probably easier when not making beginner mistakes. The most important thing is the right inclination of the first round to the mold to make things go smoothly.Opinions
