Lightweight, tough and remarkably versatile Hilleberg Snow & Sand pegs are unique. After finding most so-called snow pegs to be too soft – they would bend in any but the fluffiest snow – we developed our own. Made from hardened aluminum, our Snow Pegs are built to withstand both very hard usage, including the inevitable contact with shovels, crampons and other winter gear, and very hard snow.
At the same time, they are remarkably lightweight. The integrated line and hook gives you the flexibility either to bury the peg sideways in snow or sand, Deadman style, or to use it in a traditional, upright fashion. A carrying bag, made from our XP bag material is included.

There are multiple possibilities for making an anchor. Skis, snowshoes, bag, ice axes, branches, stones… But when you are in the middle of nowhere and if 300gr are not a handicap (6 pieces), these 6 snow-pegs can make your life easier and avoid wasting time in difficult conditions. There are 2 versions by Hilleberg : with plastic or metal carabiners. The picture is WYSIWYG : it is the metal ones that are delivered. Perfect.

— Show originalHard case to criticize because I originally ordered cheaper and in stock Fjällräven Snow wedges. Again, the devil of the balance error had gotten to visit, so he was forced to buy many times more expensive wedges for the trip. Hilleberg wedges worked great, but a bitter taste remained in the mouth when expensive wedges had to be obtained, as stock balances were thrown for the third time in a short time.| Overall rating |
