Product description

A footprint will increase the life of the floor and protect it from damage. However, it is not needed for the function of the tent. The groundsheet fabric is waterproof and puncture proof.

Footprints help prevent dampness from the ground from condensating on the inside of the outer tent. They clip on to the rings, where the inner tent attaches to the outer tent, with toggles. The tent may be packed with the footprint tied on.

When returning from a trip make sure both pieces are fully dry before packing away.

The approximate size of the packed product or the sales package is 250 x 250 x 30 mm.

A high-quality footprint. Hilleberg quality. The best thing about this is that the apses will have a floor.

Guaranteed Hilleberg quality. Very sturdy and attaches to the tent easily. Even below, the base is so sturdy that you need this mainly when camping on jagged rocks and sand

A much needed accessory; protects the tent base and provides more floor space in the abbey.

Durable, heavy-duty piece of equipment. In my opinion an absolute "must have" for a tent of this quality and price range such as the Allak 2. It has been tested both on rocky terrain as well as on a somewhat brushwood terrain where spiky and dry grass/branches can prove to be a "mortal enemy" for any tent floor. In both occasions it performed way above expectations: no punctures, no cuts, not even a scratch on the footprint! To be perfectly clear, over the years I have developed a habit of using a light-weight groundsheet made of polycro or tyvek even when I'm using a tent footprint (and considering again the price range of the Allak 2, I would highly advise anyone who value his/her equipment to do the same). The footprint itself has a negligible weight, but for what it can add to your outdoor experience (namely to be able to set your tent on almost any terrain), its worth is invaluable, expecially over time.

well worth the extra weight for the added protection. the allak 2 is not a cheap tent so any added protection is well worth it. also it helps cut down on condensation as it covers the vestibule area.

Works as it should. Attaching to a tent is easy, although it requires precision to go in the right direction at once. Here are some good tips from Hilleberg's guide videos (Position of the Footprint logos in relation to the tent door openings)

Should be standard in all tents.

The subfloor is a really nice addition to your tent when you can keep twigs and needles out of the hallway. Add weight to a certain, but if you just manage to carry, then worth the weight.
