Peltonen Metsä Step skis for deep snow. Wooden body of the ski is strong and tough so they are durable.

The base of the ski turned into "sandpaper" after a few kilometers of skiing (skiing in soft, freshly fallen snow). The quality of the white plastic base was not convincing. I complained about it immediately after the first test. It took almost a year to get any answer to the matter. You can't get any answer directly from Peltonen (Rapala), but all inquiries have to be made through the seller. When I finally got an answer to the matter, they agreed that the base turning into "sandpaper" is quite normal and that nothing can be done about it. You can use tweezers to pluck these small plastic threads coming from the base from the adhesive surface of the climbing hairs.
Otherwise, the 270cm skis carried well, for example, a 70kg skier in a metric snowdrift in February (hence one more point).
But because of the quality of the base plastic and the customer service, I don't recommend the product.

They seem to work well in wet conditions, because they get on top of your feet and you can even cross ditches thanks to the elasticity. In the sled race, it was noticed that there is far too much grip and the slide is therefore really unfortunate. So, filing work is known. After all, it hasn't been such a big problem in closed conditions and the ascents have been effortless. Easier, of course, this way, that you can afford to file the scale off to improve the glide.
