The power calculator should be about 1660 W. I burned about 400 g of dry firewood in 1 hour. Someone can recalculate the power if my physics drops have gone wrong. The calorific value of birch is 4.15 kWh / kg.
Works well as long as I don’t try to boil in the wind (that’s why I burned for an hour when I didn’t get any water to boil). So I wouldn’t take the cold in winter or fall. It can become a mother’s miss if the weather gets bad and you can’t find a sheltered place for cooking. But in the summer quite an absolute game. I will not take any other kettle on canoe trips in May-August. One woodpecker included, from which ignites flow and then twigs and cones on top. You can do even longer trips, and there is no need to mess with gas canisters or gasoline, not to mention Sinolista now.
By the way, you don't smoke when you know how to feed fuel in the right size and at the right time. The boiler, of course, becomes sooty nonetheless.

Excellent game, does what it promises. On the four coiled sprigs of the spruce, I melted the snow and brewed a cup of coffee. Also works well as a windshield for a Trangia burner. Fits like knocked inside a Primus LITECH camping boiler.
