Getting the batteries in place requires a bit of tinkering. The hearing protectors have two modes: hunting and shooting. When hunting, you can hear the speech better, but the shooting mode is also sufficient for playing external sounds and you can hear the range supervisor's instructions well. A small noise is heard when the device is on. At the very beginning, I took the gel pads recommended by others as ear protectors, and with these the shooting glasses stay more tightly on the head than with the standard soft pads that come with them.

In between you forget that there are hearing protectors on your head. At least a very suitable size and model for me. Has endured and acted even after getting wet.
When using double protection, the sound levels are full, when wearing and taking off the sound momentarily rotates, causing a nasty whining in the ears. It is advisable to start only at the end and turn off before taking off. That is reportedly a feature, not a fault.
