Ortlieb PS 490 -dry sack 22L

We bought it as a bag for a bike rag to hold clothes dry. It does its jog well and is relatively light.

A good basic dry bag

The thickness of the fabric surprised; this is really thick. It's a little thought that the PD-350 bags would be tighter, because unlike this, their surface is smooth and rubbery on both sides, so the roller latch will probably work more reliably when it presses the rubbery surfaces against each other. Here, the outside is of a rough tarpaulin material, and the inside is not as smooth and leathery as in the PD-350 bags. In practice, however, it may not matter. I only recommend this if the bag needs to withstand scratching in the first place, the PD-350 is better in normal use, and still much stronger and more reliable than bags from any other manufacturer.

Sturdy and big dry bag. For a couple of days I was on a motorcycle shelter to protect my clothes, and well kept the dust and water out. In terms of packaging, a little effort with removing trapped air, but otherwise at least seems like a long-lived travel companion. (Apparently these are available with valve models as well ..) Also suitable for independent accommodation packaging (DD Frontline + DD Underblanket + summer sleeping bag)
