Product description

Petzl Protec Plus is a high-strength flexible rope protector built to shield fixed ropes from harsh abrasion and short heat exposure during work at height or rescue. This rope protection sleeve slips onto the rope quickly, helping reduce wear where the line runs over rough surfaces. Its magnetic opening can be handled with gloves, making placement and removal fast when working efficiently matters.

  • Flexible high-strength rope protector for fixed lines in abrasive and heat-prone contact points
  • Aramid construction for markedly higher abrasion resistance than the standard Protec protector
  • Helps guard a rope during brief contact with hot surfaces such as a heated pipe
  • Offers limited protection if the rope is accidentally exposed to flame for a short moment
  • Magnetic opening that is easy to operate while wearing gloves
  • Grippy clip design for quick positioning on the rope
  • Usable in either direction with the clip oriented up or down
  • Compatible with a wide range of professional rope diameters
  • Can also shield an anchor strap such as the Petzl Connexion (sold separately)
  • Does not protect against sharp edges and for that use a Roller Coaster rope protector instead
