Ultra Glide 4 fits well. Compared to versions 1 and 2, the toe box is a bit more spacious. My foot is quite skinny, so I have to put it on tight. Size 46 which fits like other Salomon models correctly. Grip is quite good. Well-cushioned shoe. However, not numb at all. Suitable for long ultras. Also comfortable to run on gravel and asphalt sections. The shoe is not ideal on technical trails. (3.5/5). If you are looking for a fast shoe for shorter distances, choose another model. 100km/5500m vert. ran with the shoes and so far the shoes are intact.| Overall rating |
Amazing shoe

Even though I live in the Netherlands, the shipping was super fast. I bought the Salomon Ultra Gilde 4, which was very competitively priced. It's a great shoe that I use for all distances, from 10km to 135km. For me, the shoe has the right combination of cushioning, responsiveness, and feel for the terrain. In short, highly recommended
Shipping was super fast, even though it had to come from Finland. I live in the Netherlands. The Salomon Ultra Gilde 4 is a wonderful shoe. I still run in the Ultra Gilde 3 and have run various distances in them, from 10km to 130km, and the shoe doesn't disappoint. I've never had a blister. What's nice about the 4 is that the upper is slightly thinner than the 3, which means it's more ventilated and dries faster on warmer runs. The shoe offers a good combination of cushioning and feel. You don't sway around in turns thanks to the higher sole, and you have a good feel for the terrain. I've now run 600km in the 3, and both the upper and the sole still look excellent. In short, a great shoe and excellent service!
