— Show originalCivilian use only as a person from Hot and humid climate. This is one of those buy once cry once gears. It's warm and yet not bulky nor does it limit my movement. The wrist and shoulder pockets actually have vents inside them in addition to the armpit zippers. This jacket with just a mesh base layer got me through -8c and mild wind without any discomfort. That is, only my fingers, neck, and face were left unprotected. However, my body tempt was greatly regulated that my fingers weren't in sharp pain, just a constant awareness that it was cold. It's not without its flaw though. The wrist warmer is not removeable. It's difficult to vent the heat from my forearm as it is blocked by the wrist warmer. It got too warm when I got inside a mall but I didn't sweat due to the mesh and the venting system. Although, it would have been best to remove it but I only wore a mesh layer and looking like a drag club goer wasn't one of my plans. The hood is not removable... something to be noted. The wrist warmer hates Velcro and it left a slightly torn damage on mine 😭. I suggest you order the same size as your shirt size. It's designed to be an athletic fit and is supposed to go over a base and midlayer. I think S could have been fine as I didnt wear any mid layer though I got M just in case I visit a more severe climate country.
