I took Sealskinz Hiking Socks with me on a week-long hike to Hammastunturi. For the first two days, the socks kept the water out well and my feet stayed dry. After that, the problems started: water got inside the socks and wouldn't come out. The socks started to literally splash. I couldn't dry them out during the rest of the hike because the membrane prevented moisture from evaporating. Luckily, I had nylon socks with me. Hiking in them also dried out my shoes, and my feet stayed tolerably dry.
