So far very comfortable. I gave myself an extra 10 to 15mm space. This makes it very good for a wide range of sock thicknesses and doesn't crush the loft in my thicker socks. I feel hot or cold in them depending on the sock I use, single or double layered, and what temperature my foot starts at. But they are definitely warmer than my redback leather work boots (uninsulated). Since switchingto these Xeros, my feet are not the coldest part of my body this winter. Grip in fresh snow is great. Not great on whatever those tiles are around rautatieasema. I did apply waterproofing spray to them because I don't trust the water proof claim. Have not had any issues with moisture penetrating. If the structure of the shoe does break down I will update this review. The loss of one star is because the left tongue doesnt sit properly when I lace up and creates uncomfortable pressure on the top of my foot if not positioned correctly. No issues with the right shoe. The material memory is a little weird, and the tongue on the left shoe naturally twists to the right. Overall, I have enjoyed walking around in winter with a more barefoot shoe. I am yet to try them with felt liners or without the thermal insole. Might try as the weather warms up.
