Altra Olympus 275 Mens

First and foremost I was so impressed with the quick turnaround time on my order - bearing in mind that I live in NZ. I could just as well be on another planet from Finland. Thank you, Varuste. The Altra Olympus 275 Mens lived up to the reviews. However, I quickly realised that MY feet do not do best in a zero drop, and I am so sad about that. So sadly, my shoes are sitting in a box, practically brand new, under my bed. I didn't think I could return them because I had worn them on a light trail. But that is no fault of the shoes. When I put them on, I loved the feeling of wrap around support, the matrix fabric feels sturdy and resilient and that it will go the distance. So I am just gutted that after all the searching and researching, comparing reviews, and finally finding a pair in my size somewhere across the world from, and believing that these were my shoes for a 250km footrace in the desert, I now know that ZERO drop shoes don't suit my needs for this race.

Lighter, more agile and even a bit wider than the Olympus6. The Lone Peak Wide is still a favorite, but when you need a shoe with a little more cushioning for long distances, this is it.

The shoe was bought as a gift, but the recipient loved the shoes! The sock-like part of the shoe shaft prevents debris from getting into the shoe and the trail shoe is well cushioned! Now I've found the Mercedes of trail shoes 👌🙂
