The laser rangefinder blends seamlessly into the 30 mm frame tube of the scope's nook. The laser rangefinder does not take up much space, and both its transmitter and receiver work in the same optical channel. The maximum measurement distance is 800 meters - Thermion 2 LRF XL50 gives a great sense of distance and the accuracy with which you can hit even the most distant targets. A sharp, high-contrast thermal image makes it easier to identify animals and their body parts, and you can distinguish even the smallest details such as branches, leaves and terrain shapes.
A thermal image sensor with a NETD value of less than 35 mK (0.025 °C) guarantees perfect separation of details even in the harshest weather conditions, when thermal contrast is low. Even the smallest temperature fluctuations stand out in the rain, fog or on cold mornings, when the conditions for thermal photography are at their most challenging. In a thermal sight, the quality of the optics is of great importance to the performance, so that the image quality remains good even at the lowest radiation levels. The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL50 large and fast-aperture (F50/1.0) front lens enhances your observation ability to the utmost. The Thermion 2 LRF XL50 gives its users the best quality, accurate and high-contrast and informative image every time, even in rain and fog, when the thermal contrast of the viewed environment is at its lowest.
The powerful, high-resolution F50/1.0 objective lens together with the professional-grade 1024x768 @12 µm thermal image sensor produces exceptional observation capabilities. A standard 1.8-meter target stands out from a distance of 1,800 meters in pitch darkness.
The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL50 is powered by two rechargeable batteries: it has one internal 4.9 Ah rechargeable battery and also comes with a replaceable 2 Ah battery. One charge guarantees a battery life of up to 7 hours, which is enough even for an all-night hunting trip. The design of the replaceable battery makes it easier to put the battery in place, so replacing an empty battery with a charged one is done in record time and in the pitch dark by hand.
The objective lens has an internal focusing mechanism that produces a clear and sharp image at any distance. There are ergonomic focus wheels on both the right and left side of the lens, which makes focusing easier regardless of your handedness. The basic magnification power of Thermion 2 LRF XL50 can be increased up to four times between 1.75x and 14x. The magnification can be changed in 2x steps or steplessly, which achieves the most suitable visibility for each situation.
In picture-in-picture mode (PiP) you can reset your scope with extreme precision. The display of the picture-in-picture function only takes up 10% of the image area, so the field of view is not disturbed despite two simultaneous images. The aiming area is shown enlarged at the top of the screen and the entire image area around it - the situation is completely and constantly under your control. Reset settings are stored in shooting profiles. The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL50 can store up to five different shooting profiles for different weapons and ammunition. Each profile can have ten different reset distances.
The electronic sight image is always displayed at the same focal plane as the target. The memory of the new Thermion 2 LRF XL50 thermal sight can store ten different sight picture settings (direct hit, ballistic, scalable and conventional), all available in nine different colors. The new Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL50 has a familiar design suitable for any hunting weapon. From the outside, the scope resembles a conventional day scope equipped with a 30 mm frame tube. Thanks to this, its installation on your rifle does not require special tools or accessories, but you can use a familiar, proven solution. Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL50 starts within three seconds of pressing the power button and is immediately ready for use.
Whether it's heavy rain, a snowstorm or other wet conditions, the IPX7 waterproof rating guarantees that the device won't fail even in the wettest weather! The Pulsar Thermion can even withstand submersion to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes. Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL50 thermal riflescopes have good recoil resistance, which allows them to be used with such large-caliber, rifled hunting rifles as 9.3х64, .30-06, .300, .375. etc. as well as with non-rifled (i.e. smooth-barreled) or air guns.
Thermion 2 LRF XL50 scopes work reliably even in severe frost (up to -25°C) or scorching heat (+50°C). The frost-resistant AMOLED screen updates in the blink of an eye and ensures that the image remains sharp and smooth even when you're following fast-moving objects. The color reproduction of the new 1024x768 pixel HD AMOLED screen is even better, it saves power, the image is high-contrast and the response time is short, and it produces a clear and smooth image even when you're moving in the freezing air.
The selection of eight different color palettes improves visibility in different conditions, allowing you to choose the most suitable option for each situation and viewing condition. Hot white, hot black and hot red make it easier to detect the object's movement, rainbow and ultramarine in turn emphasize the temperature differences of the objects and make identification easier. Red monochrome, sepia and violet reduce eye fatigue and are best suited for long-term night observation.
The wide-angle eyepiece with a 29.5° field of view guarantees a pleasant viewing experience together with the HD AMOLED screen.
