This is my first pair of waterproof Lone Peak. As a first impression I can say they don't feel as roomy as the older non-waterproof Lone Peak models (would recommend a full size larger than your usual size as opposed to half a size for the older models). They are very warm so would definitely recommend them for temperatures under 10 C. They feel a bit stiffer than the older Lone Peaks but also sturdier as construction. The inner fabric is quite slippery so they have to be worn in a heel lock tie otherwise your foot tends to slip forward. Did not get to test the waterproofing yet.
The shoes are comfortable and there is nothing to complain about in terms of waterproofness. Fits a slightly wider foot like mine. The sole has good grip even on wet forest paths. Unfortunately, the fabric around the ankle wore out after about a month of use. Something about the design of this particular shoe model doesn't work for me, because I haven't seen a similar problem with other pairs of shoes, past or present. It may work better for someone else, but based on my own experience, I can't recommend it.
