A new approach has been implemented in the Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Pro thermal cameras: for different purposes and viewing objects, the best possible settings have been made for them, so that both the objects and their backgrounds stand out the best. Three-level adjustable signal amplification power and image softening filter together with finely adjustable brightness and contrast guarantee perfect reproduction of details, which is important e.g. in counting the horns. The thermal image always remains clear regardless of changing weather and temperature conditions.

The Pulsar Axion thermal camera is made for continuous and often violent use. It has a strong and durable magnesium alloy frame that is still light. The frame effectively protects the internal components of the device, especially its most important part – the thermal image sensor – from shocks, drops, moisture, heat and cold. The metal frame also acts as a cooling element, which removes waste heat generated in the internal parts of the device (especially in the thermal image sensor), reduces noise and also keeps the thermal image sensor stable even after longer use.

The French Lynred thermal image sensor of Pulsar Axion 2 thermal cameras with a resolution of 384x288 pixels (17 µm pixel spacing) guarantees perfect separation of details. Even the smallest temperature fluctuations stand out clearly in rain, fog or cold mornings, when the conditions for thermal photography are at their most challenging.

The Germanium-coated F35/1.0 lens produces the best infrared light reproduction in the long-wave infrared (LWIR) range. The process used in the manufacturing of the lenses is very precise, as a result of which the image of the Axion 2 XQ series thermal imaging sensor is really clear and detailed.

The high-capacity, rechargeable APS5 battery of the thermal camera allows up to 11 hours of continuous use with a single charge. It only takes a couple of seconds. Removing the battery from the device and putting a new one in its place only takes a couple of seconds. The battery can be charged either in a special APS5 or APS-V battery charger (products 79182 and 79186) or inside the device using the device's USB-C connection connected to a computer, mains charger or backup power source. The same USB-C connection can also be used for wired data transfer.

By connecting the Pulsar Axion 2 thermal camera to an Android or iOS mobile device, using the Pulsar Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This opens up a whole host of completely new possibilities, such as video streaming to the Internet, wireless firmware updates, content sharing on social media, remote control and free access to read Pulsar's own news feed. The faster 5 GHz frequency band enables even smoother and more stable data transfer and reduces the susceptibility of the wireless connection to interference, which improves the productivity of your thermal camera and makes its use as a companion to a smart device even more pleasant.

The powerful F35/1.0 objective lens together with the super-sensitive 384x288 pixel (17 µm pixel pitch) thermal image sensor gives the Pulsar Axion 2 thermal cameras exceptional observation capabilities. A standard 1.8-meter target stands out even from a distance of 1,300 meters in pitch darkness.

Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 thermal cameras are perfectly suited for surveillance in large areas as well as for viewing moving objects that are further away. The horizontal width of the field of view at 100 meters is 18.2 (10.7°). Picture-in-picture mode (PiP) opens an additional window at the top of the image, where the center of the viewing area is shown doubled or quadrupled (2x–4x) enlarged. In this way, it is possible to both see the overall picture and follow your target precisely at the same time.

Pulsar Axion 2 thermal cameras fit even in a small space and can be carried with you even in your pocket. Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Pro weighs only 380 grams! The device is easy to hold and use, regardless of whether the owner is left- or right-handed, because the design is symmetrical and the control buttons are sensibly placed on top of the device.

Up to 8 x digital zoom makes it easier to focus and identify the target at longer distances. The zoom level changes either gradually in 2x steps or steplessly, so the user's field of vision is completely customizable to suit the situation at hand.

Pulsar Axion 2 thermal cameras start quickly: the device is fully ready for use within five seconds of pressing the power button (ON).
Quick start also helps to save battery power: while moving in nature, Axion does not have to be in standby mode all the time, but you can start it only when needed.

Whether it's heavy rain, a snowstorm or other wet conditions, the IPX7 waterproof rating guarantees that the device won't fail even in the wettest weather! Your device is designed to function flawlessly even after being submerged in a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes.

Pulsar Axion 2 thermal cameras have an internal video and image recorder. The internal memory of the device can hold hours of exciting videos and thousands of the best of your thermal images. You can record an interesting moment or start video recording with one press of a button. Image material can also be transferred to a computer via a USB cable. Owners of the Pulsar Axion 2 thermal camera also get 16 GB of free cloud storage by registering for Pulsar's own cloud service (Pulsar Cloud). You just need to install the free Stream Vision 2 mobile app, log in to the service and connect the device to your smartphone via Wi-Fi.

The color reproduction of the 640 x 480 pixel HD AMOLED screen is better than ever, it saves power, the image is high-contrast and the response time is short, and it produces a clear and smooth image even when you're moving in freezing weather.

With the help of the internal Wi-Fi module and the free Stream Vision 2 application, you connect your device wirelessly to Android and iOS smart devices. The selection of eight different color palettes improves visibility in different conditions, allowing you to choose the most suitable option for each situation and viewing condition. Hot white, hot black and hot red make it easier to detect the object's movement, rainbow and ultramarine in turn emphasize the temperature differences of the objects and make identification easier. Red monochrome, sepia and violet reduce eye fatigue and are best suited for long-term night observation.
