The 3M™ PELTOR™ ComTac™ VIII Headset helps protect your hearing and can help promote auditory situational
awareness and communication in challenging acoustical environments. Some versions are equipped with a downlead cable
for connection to a radio via a push-to-talk (PTT), and a noise cancelling speech microphone for communication in noise.

— Show originalUnless I don't know how to use it, which is unlikely, the performance of this headset is just average. For comparison, I have a Razer office headset, which does the job as well, if not better, than the Peltor.. Sible caliber 22 is pretty good at absorbing, it can do almost nothing, as soon as you move to higher calibers I will therefore try another headset. They're very comfortable. The sound dampening isn't as good as I was expecting. And the ear cups aren't as low profile compared to some of the other brands I've tried.

More comfortable than older Peltor's ComTac models, the improved "MAP" & "soundscape" features are another noticeable improvement. The only criticism I can give on the "VIII" is the steep reduction in battery-life compared to other ComTac models, otherwise it's nearly perfect.

Excellent sound protection and 3D hearing. You can really locate the sounds much better than cheap ear protection, so much that it sometimes feel as if you don't have ear protection on when there's no loud noises. Shipped to Canada, payed import taxes.
