Unfortunately, these remain slightly open when closed for transport, so even if you could carry them as a keychain, you might end up with some annoying metal objects between the jaws. The old all-metal model was uglier, but it was just as capable a clipper and more handy as a keychain. Yes, this one still beats all regular clippers as a nail clipper. The jaws of the clipper are quite small, but they don't significantly hinder use and are absolutely superior for cutting the nails of toddlers and small children.

Surprised by its size... It's actually tiny! But it's incredibly effective. (Luckily, given the price.) The cuts are well done (nails aren't trimmed up or down like some nail clippers). The folding system is very well thought out and effective. The remaining question is... how long it will last... It seems sturdy, but we'll see... but don't worry too much.
