I didn't recognize it as cheese or even edible with any sense. The packaging looked intact and the product has received good reviews, so I don't know if there was something wrong with the batch.

Quite a good snack to nibble on in the forest. I also tried to use it in food preparation, but at least it doesn't melt on top of the finished dish. During the preparation, I did not test mixing it.
