TL;DR: I have only used the product on one weekend hike yet. But boy did my sleeping experience improve! The switch from a regular/wide mummyshape to a large rectangular was well worth it (for me)! It is a bit slippery, but the size compensates for this. Not the most comfortable pat I've used, but definitely not the worst, and considering the weight and quality I really think they nailed it! I have used the Therm-a-rest neoair xlite nxt mummy shaped (regular wide) for a while, and woke up from time to time feeling that I'm "falling off" the pad, especially the feet. I'm a pretty average sized guy, 178cm and ~80kg, so i thought I'd get away with a mummyshaped regular/wide (imagine the horrors of using a regular/regular!). And before I bought the regular/wide I used a Therm-a-rest trail pro mummyshaped in size large (long/wide and self inflated), which imo is a super comfortable pad, but to heavy for long distance hiking, however i did not experience the "falling off" syndrome as much with that one. I'm really impressed with the quality of the Therm-a-rest pads (hence the exclusive use of the brand for sleeping pads)! You can't really go wrong there (don't quote me on this and go off buying their überlight model haha). I'm super happy with the pad, and even though I'm fairly average in size I really enjoy the extra space given by the pad. It compensates my tossing and turning during the night, as well as giving me the extra wiggle room for potentially slipping around (it IS a fairly slippery pad to lie on, though well worth it for the quality and weight imo). I used a few strings of silicone on the back of my former regular/wide pad to prevent it from slipping around on the tent floor, now with my new rectangular large pad i just shove it inside the tent, and it fits neatly between the head end and feet end of the inner tent, no need for silicone. Awesome product that I'd recommend to anyone that doesn't lie perfectly still on their back during the night. Imo it's really worth the extra grams!
