Compared to before, it feels as if there is nothing on the back. Oversized front and side pockets. Otherwise, the rucka has no unnecessary pockets, so the space of the rucka can be used better - it seems that the 45 liter Padje has more stuff than the 55+ 15 liter Deuter's Aircontact Pro. The only minus comes from the fact that there are no convenient tightening straps for the foam mattress at the bottom of the frame. I have to develop some tuning for the bottom myself.

Currently 150 Kms into the Camino de Santiago with this backpack. Good points: 1. Plenty of space on the inside. 2. Outside stretch pockets are amazingly stretchy and, so far, durable. 3. Comfortable if adjusted properly. Not so good points: 1. The straps above the shoulder straps tend to slip to the sides but it doesn't really make any difference in the comfort. Maybe solvable of you adjust the pack better, I'm not an expert. 2. The material in the shoulder straps tends to get sweat marks but easily solvable with a wash. Conclusions: great pack and I highly recommend it!

Lightweight, sturdy, easily adjustable, comfortable backpack. After 280km and loaded at 11kg, I am very satisfied with it.

I received my Lundhags Padje light 45 and have to say I am very happy with it overall. I ordered the pockets also and am a bit disappointed in how they attach to the belt. They are not tight enough to allow one hand operation, which is a design flaw, I am sure could be improved. The pack itself is very well made and is very comfortable, the frame really does the job and it's a huge improvement on the "no frame UL backpacks" out there. I had looked at the exped light 45, which I borrowed from a friend, but found it a bit wobbly from side to side when scrambling etc due to the single frame in the centre. The Padje Light 45 when fitted is rock solid and feels like a proper backpack that wont annoy the user after a few hours. With my Lanshan 2 and summer down sleeping bag, and sleep pad my base weight is now 8.9 Lbs or 4.05 Kgs. My expedition pack is Lundhags Sarek 60L, which is the most comfortable pack I ever used, the Padje Light is as good and I am using it for 3-4 day trips without any issues.

This backpack is definitely recommended. The bag is made of sturdy material and is also water-repellent. You can see that every detail has been thought about and you will notice that when you wear it. The carrying system works very well, so far only used with weights of 10kg.

An excellent light bike. The carrying properties are really good. On the flip side of lightness, having one pocket brings some practical challenges. Unpacking the goods from a full ring and packing the ring is not exactly problem-free, because the material is surprisingly 'sticky' on the inside. In rainy weather, lifting things out of the chest out of the way is not very practical.

How to choose a backpack

A good backpack fits well at the user’s back and its features meet the purpose planned for it. There are many kinds of backpacks with different adjustment features, and that is great: every user is different, and they make many kinds of trips in their free time. Anatomical ...
