The HRC Marathon, equipped with the new Nordic Shark, is the perfect ski marathon pole for cross-country skiers The new grip features a grip/strap technology developed entirely for cross-country skiing, offering precise control, support, and power transfer. The Shark Loop and the Quick Release Button let you easily click in and out in seconds. The adjustable Speed Shape provides gives you precise control over the poles for quick movements. The HRC Marathon is made of a lightweight, strong carbon tube with a weight of 66 grams per meter. This pole features the Fin Vario basket changing system, which allows you to change baskets in seconds to match different snow conditions. The teardrop shape of the basket allows other skiers’ skis to slide off quickly and easily, making it ideal at the start of a ski marathon.
Note: Handle and pole are separated from each other and needs to be glued together.

- Shark System: The Shark System offers you an optimal power transfer thanks to a direct connection between the hand and the pole. Rapid clicking in and out are no problem and a safety release can protect against injury. All Shark straps and gloves are compatible with all Shark poles

— Show originalI'm looking for a rod that won't fade in stiffness, so-called For race poles (which you notice easily in ice skating, especially on hills) but they wouldn't break as easily, so I chose these. Since the rods are new, I can only confirm that the stiffness is at the level I expected. If you can edit the review, I will tell you if I was disappointed.
What I did not expect was the so-called Shark system with which the "glove" is attached to the rod. I plan to upgrade the system to all my rods if the thickness of the blank is suitable and invest in a set of Shark system gloves.| Overall rating |

— Show originalExcellent stiff and durable poles! I bought it mainly for particularly long, light downhill ski hikes on hard snow/sled tracks/trails. Doesn't break from the first bumps, intention to use the pyramid tent as a central barrier - no doubt it will work there too.
Lekki's Fin Vario replacement snow plow system should also have an option for a much larger soft snow snow plow - the largest separately sold snow plow is quite small compared to other manufacturers' soft snow slope plows. I might change the other tips.
The Trigger shark system works excellently, makes skiing much easier for those suffering from snap fingers. I also got trekking poles with the same system. Although hiking/running poles have an easier release button, these require a little technique practice.
The S-M-L size hand strap worked well for a size 9 hand and has room for gloves. After all, you can also get ski gloves with that attachment.
With the handle equipped with the Trigger Shark system, the rod measures 160 cm in length, approx. 157.5 cm measured up to the attachment loop. I went a couple of centimeters too short to shorten my own rods, I didn't realize to take into account.| Overall rating |
