The + = The product is of quality, robust, small, easy to use.
The - = amount of the high activation fees because they are mandatory as soon as you stop the subscription and want to subscribe again.
Example: I leave 2 or 3 times a year, I am not going to pay a subscription every month when I do not use my equipment.
I will have to pay the activation fees again in addition to the subscription each time I leave. It is a significant budget unfortunately…
Very fast and careful sending! 👍🏻

Great product, easy to work it for a Garmin. I love the basic navigation function, makes classic route planning and mapping still necessary, but gives you a great backup.

Small, light and handy to carry around. Last summer I would have used it, although not by my own group, but by other hikers. Fortunately, a similar device was found by a group. It made me think about the weakening of mobile phone signals after the disappearance of 3G.
The use is quite logical, although the functions are based on only a few keys. I haven't had a chance to test the most important feature of the device, i.e. satellite communication or location sharing, because I haven't signed a contract yet. Setting the coordinate system/map projection to ETRS-TM35FIN format was also successful after I found Erke Luokta's instruction video on Youtube (thanks for that): Garmin GPSmap 60CX ETRS TM35FIN specification (the settings also work on other Garmin devices). In a quick test, the device gave the same coordinates as Paikkatietoikkuna. Makes it easier to locate yourself on the map. It is still unclear to me in what format the device transmits location information to rescue authorities and whether they understand the location with the ETRS-TM35FIN. I was also able to sync routes and POIs created with the Garmin Explore app to the device quite easily. However, it is quite difficult to follow the route on such a small screen without a base map.

The perfect companion when I'm solo hiking or riding a motorcycle in remote areas.
Pros: Small. Low weight. Good battery capacity. Fast installation. Linked quickly to my existing Garmin account.
Cons: The satellite subscription could easily have had a lower price. The UI feels a little messy sometimes.
