This versatile GORE-TEX Pro Most Breathable shell is ideal for year-round walking, hiking, and trekking in the roughest weather. Its dual weight construction places tougher fabric across the shoulders and sleeves for abrasion protection from the repetitive rub of backpack straps. The lighter weight fabric around the core gives greater mobility, breathability, and reduced weight and bulk for when your waterproof needs stashed in a pack.
Easily deflecting wind, rain, sleet, and snow, while breathing and managing moisture through your layering system, this jacket is designed to keep you comfortable when your route gets steep or deep. Dump heat quickly through the underarm vents, with two-way zips for fine air flow adjustment, and stash your map, compass, and other essentials close to hand in the three, deep zipped pockets. — Show originalAfter a little more than a year of user experience, I can recommend, with minor reservations:
Plus/minus
+ The size is good and the cut allows you to move, the pockets are good, even big enough that things almost drown. A thick L-sized down jacket fits under the L-sized jacket.
+ The water/wind resistance is top class, which of course that goretex should have
+ The material feels durable.
- When using the hood, it is too tight on the face and in severe frost it freezes on the face and beard. At the same time, the wearer of glasses will have problems with fogging.
- The fabric is really stiff when new, but more comfortable after the first wash.
- The zipper is tight and sometimes difficult to start fastening it.
The user experience is almost -30 degrees of snow hiking and the heaviest heavy rains of the summer. It also works for commuting cycling in cold and rainy weather.Brand
