I have used RLC-511WA cameras for summer cottage surveillance. A similar camera that had been in use for about a year before. Now the monitoring area has been expanded with a new camera. Experiences with a previous camera below.
Person and car detection work very well when the settings are correct. There are very few unnecessary alarms compared to the camera used elsewhere, where there was no intelligent detection. In the dark, there may be alarms about "orcs" resembling a human figure swaying in the wind in a spider's web in front of the camera. Similarly, if the car is in the detection area and e.g. tree branches are swaying in the wind near the car, the camera imagines that the car is moving and sounds the alarm.
The settings in the camera are really versatile. The microphone and speaker work somehow, although they could work better. In the event of an alarm, the optional sound buzzer scares the errant driver into making a sudden U-turn out of the area (some interesting shots have been seen). The LED lighting triggered by the alarm in the dark gives a colorful picture of the "visitor" compared to a black and white picture.
In the camera, you can define the size of the target that triggers the alarm (smallest/largest), which can be used to limit unnecessary alarms. The area from which alarms are not wanted can also be limited. Personally, I have only used person and car alarms.
The real-time image can be viewed in different resolutions. The best thing is, the monitoring costs nothing (of course, you have to have a separate internet connection). Video cannot be saved to the cloud, but continuous recording can be set to the memory card if desired. The camera can also be connected to an NVR recorder. Alerts to e.g. e-mail are at a lower resolution compared to streaming at the best resolution. However, the videos saved on the camera's memory card can be viewed via the Internet anywhere and at the best resolution if desired.
Implementation is very easy. I can't criticize the Wi-Fi capacity. The distances to the router are 5 and 7 meters. A wooden wall between.
