Product description

Small on weight, big on features. The Free 22 Removable Airbag 3.0 ready is lightweight and has everything you expect from an freeride backpack. It is compatible with our Airbag System 3.0 – one of the lightest on the market. Orange elements make you more visible from a distance. The carrying system is inspired by trail running vests to keep the weight close to your body so it doesn’t bounce around. Optimized hip and shoulder straps as well as the new 3D-molded back panel offer incredible comfort and a perfect fit.

The main compartment is conveniently accessible both from the top and through a zippered opening on the back. Attach your skis or snowboard using the pull straps. Keep your safety equipment in the separate high-visibility orange compartment. The backpack is PFC-free, and the outer fabric and lining are made of recycled material. To top it all off, the Free 22 has useful features such as a helmet holder, side compression straps and loops for your poles. Ready backpacks are compatible with the Airbag 3.0 system but are supplied without an airbag system (deployment unit) and without cartridges.
  • High-density, 2-layer EVA back padding; hip belt and shoulder straps with stretch fabric cover
  • Front pocket for avalanche safety equipment
  • Lateral compression straps
  • Full rear zipper access to the main compartment
  • Integrated helmet carrier
  • Thermoformed back for high level of carrying comfort
  • Snowboard carrier
  • Soft-lined goggle compartment
  • 2 attachments for ice ax and trekking poles
  • Diagonal ski carrier

Very light backpack that becomes a light and appropriately sized avalanche system for the one-day trip. In addition to a shovel and a probe, I get spades, a 1-liter water bag, a sandwich, a couple of power bars, sunglasses, sun protection cloth and a small packable down jacket. Everything accessible from the back compartment if the skis are on. What you need and in the best way!
