Lots of big pockets. Good high and wide collar. A large protective hood that can also fit a ski helmet inside. The cap of the hood is good in a decent gust and versatile adjustments of the hood. Keeps the wind outside the jacket and effectively hides body heat inside. Keeps you completely dry even in pouring rain. The jacket rustles loudly when new and is quite bumpy, but after washing it becomes suitably soft and is no longer loud. The only downside is the open vents, which don't have any kind of ventilation mesh, so all the snow gets sucked in. The vents also look pretty goofy when open. Otherwise, a perfect year-round jacket.

The jacket is a good length. The zipper with big teeth is stiff and the jacket doesn't close every time without any problems/trying again. The waterproofness of the zipper is also a cause for concern. I haven't been able to test it yet. As a mere shell jacket, it feels cooler than the mountainous old version of Vass. Good and comfortable fit. Will be used all year round.

This is a similar jacket for the spouse, because the first one seemed excellent for all outdoor activities in the Finnish weather. As soon as I got the new one, the zipper on the old pocket broke. The first one was used diligently for a couple of years, but not particularly heavy on the pocket.
