The Freerain Packable Hip Pack is a waterproof, hands-free place to keep valuables close by.

Ultralight UHMWPE-reinforced Robic® nylon delivers extraordinary durability, while the UTS coating, sealed seams, and rolltop closure yield a fully waterproof main compartment. The adjustable belt can be worn at the waist or crossbody as a sling. An innovative integrated zipper on the rolltop main compartment can be used alone for fast access or rolled for full waterproofing. To stow, invert into the front pocket or compress further using the included mesh compression sack.

Great belt bag, waterproofness has not been tested but I trust the manufacturer's announcement. I gave it three stars out of a bit of criticism. The larger compartment with a roll closure is quite impractical, because the compartment then remains quite small and opening the compartment takes more time than if it were just with a zipper. It does not need to be rolled up, which makes the compartment bigger, but then the bag looks a bit asymmetrical and silly. So I have only used the smaller zipper pocket, it does not hold a lot of stuff. But the bag is super nice and will certainly protect well in bad weather. The price is quite high for such a nice and partly impractical bag.

Fits into a very small space under clothes if needed, and when opened the large pocket has up to a liter of space. Protects passports from prying eyes and rain on vacation.

A wonderful waterproof, lightweight belt bag. During the week's bike trip, the cell phone, wallet, sunscreen, etc. were within reach. This is a handy addition to accompany a light backpack on hikes and what not for any day trip.
