The MSR LowDown Remote Stove Adapter is an upgrade for your canister stove or stove system, allowing it to do more than you ever thought possible. It can turn your tiny, ultralight stove into a group cooking pro or transform a tall stove system into a non-tippy coffee machine on your camp table. The foldout legs create a wide, stable base that significantly lowers your stove height, for stability on uneven ground or when cooking around young campers. It also allows stoves of nearly any size to support larger pots and pans with ease. The remote valve and fuel line move the flame control away from the stove and pot, making cooking adjustments easier (no sticking your hand under a full boiling pot). And it folds up nice and compact for easy stowing whether you’re backpacking with friends or camping with the family.

I just bought and tried it in response to the instructions in the manual. >-10C° from freezing and then pocketrocket dlx. Flow regulation from the burner tap. A moment of burning and you sat upside down. At first a large yellow flame, then settled more evenly and burned fairly evenly with the Remote's tap fully open. When I turned the Rocket's tap a little bigger, a bigger yellow flame sprung up. So this can be a small advantage when cooking with gas for 3 years in the cold. However, not indoors. The procedures mentioned above due to the instability of the flame. Quite comfortable for use according to the instructions, a little more for longer camping and cooking. Otherwise, unnecessary weight.
