So we have a dog that is extremely afraid of noises of any kind. Especially thunderstorms, jet fighters (airwags) or whatever they're called.
And of course fireworks. When we tried to go for a walk with the protectors, we heard a firecracker, not very close, and the dog heard it too.
The protectors look quite good, and certainly muffle the noise, but they're not enough for us.
We were in the basement on New Year's Eve. That was the solution

Better than the Muttmuffs, which still made the dog hear the squeaking sound; with the Rex Specs Ear Pro, the bitch doesn't hear any of it. Easy to put on/take off. But of course it has to be trained otherwise the dog will try to pull it off with their paws. Good workmanship, hopefully not too warm in summer. Fast shipping. As I measured between two sizes, I ordered the larger one; perhaps it would have been better to order two sizes, including the smaller one, as it might then be harder to pull off the dog; but it might also be more aversive. I have no experience of how the return would have gone.

We ordered the Rex specs ear pro.
We were delighted. It was a great support in the days before New Year's Eve.
Our dog is terrified of New Year's Eve firecrackers, and with the hearing protection we were able to take her for a short walk at least in the week before New Year's Eve. It didn't take away her fear, but at least it took away her panic about New Year's Eve. It didn't help on New Year's Eve, so we had to resort to medication.

Tried but not yet really tested
Solid, a little heavy
Easy to clean
Long to dry
Difficult from a distance to take THE right size.
There should be the possibility of adjusting 1 cm on the muzzle side. (Especially when you have the right size but took the maximum before the other size).
Still to be tested outside.
