Built on a one-piece, perforated Regulator® airmesh hip wrap for a foundation, Patagonias new MTB-specific, 3-liter waist pack distributes weight between three zippered pockets and dual water-bottle holders, providing the stability of on-body storage with enough room for tools, extra layers and other valuables.

A good product with enough space for tools, snacks, etc. for a small child. Also, a light jacket that can be packed into a small space would fit here, at least with straps on the outside. Some kind of elastic element would make the fit better, now you have to tighten it so damn hard that it doesn't flow, this is the most obvious weakness for yourself. On the other hand, the same feature probably extends the life cycle of the product.
