Superflies Haili

By far the most legendary coastal sea trout fly in Finland.

There’s probably no better fly than Haili for imitating a baltic herring or other silvery baitfish – for at least two reasons. Most importantly, the shape of the fly and bucktail tail create exceptional balance, keeping the fly upright even during those long pauses, which often prove to be vital for enticing a strike. In addition, when tied sparsely and at the right angle (like ours!), the bucktail wing has irresistible action when using a “stop and go” type of stripping. Our choice if we could choose only one coastal sea trout fly (although we do recommend carrying a variety of colors)!
