Product description

The Microraft series is a classic packraft type. After a long product testing period and regards to customer feedback, MRS improved the technology and redesigned the balance of the bow and stern in the Microraft series. The redesign resulted in a packraft with a sharper and more streamlined appearance and significantly reduced water resistance. Our redesign also guarantees better buoyancy of the front hull, which means more luggage can be carried.

Even though this raft is light and nible, the raft can carry 150kg (paddler + baggage). Simplified this means one paddler, one weeks worth of kit, furry friend or even your fatbike.

The idealogy of a packraft is for it to be a long term companion on your adventures. So durability is of the product is essential. This means your raft is more than suitable for white water, still water, inflating and deflating. Obviosly your precious packraft does not fire.

The Microraft is a very good option for trekking, hunting or fishing enthusiast. Even the common city slicker will find this product perfect for evening paddles on the water close to the city.

The raft comes with a spray cover. This however is not 100% waterproof. It does keep most of the water out but some will still get into the raft.

Whats in the package? Well the packraft itself (obviosly), removable fin, spray cover, a filling bag and also some patches if you were to get a puncture. The glue itself is not included so make sure to pick up a tube of that. The Melomo patch-kit is a fantastic piece of kit for you to carry with you on your travels.

Buoyancy: 150kg

The approximate size of the packed product or the sales package is 370 x 620 x 180 mm.

A light and nimble excursion on the ferry, fished and otherwise only on a four-wheel drive is not fastidious You can easily attach a backpack and other stuff to the front and back, of course you have to remember the weight limits :-) Even though the material feels thin, the stones and sand of the beach have hardly made any marks

Great game. At the moment, there are only two trips behind, but now I have already been able to test the ferry in a wide variety of terrains. -The ferry on the lake works well when the waves are moderate. In bigger waves, the raft works reasonably once you learn the appropriate paddling technique. You can also progress to the opposite wave perfectly, if your fitness is sufficient. In the waves, at first I felt seasickness symptoms, but I got used to the rocking after a while. The only minus on the lake comes from the fact that the raft is sensitive to turning in the wind/waves and going sailing if you stop paddling for a while. - On the river, the ferry is very clever and sensitive when it comes to steering. Paddling is possible both in flat water and in currents. The ferry also performed well in the relatively shallow rapids. Although sometimes the ferry bottomed out on the rocks, the progress continued. After the rapids, the bottom plastic of the raft was still flawless, so the rock contact at least did not damage the raft any worse. -Carrying the raft in the forest/swamp is also pleasant and effortless thanks to its lightness. - Overall, buying a raft has been an excellent decision, and backpacking will open up new opportunities in my sailing hobby.

I watched a lot of YouTube videos before buying the MRW Microraft. The Microraft is as the name says a smaller packraft. It comes in different sizes. I'm 196 cm and chose the L size one. It works. There is enough room for my legs and I even sometimes take a small dog with me. He can sit between my legs or behind me. Up to now I've only used the Microraft on a lake. It can also do whitewater. Then you use the spray skirt. The packraft is quickly set up. I need about 15 minutes until I'm on the water. There is an inflation bag. You need about three fillings to get the packraft filled. Using the inflation bag is easy but takes some practice. Final pressure you get by using a hand pump or your lungs. It's important to temper the boat. That means, you put it on the water so that the air in the microraft cools down to the temperature of the water. Some pressure might be lost and some more air has to be added. The packraft has a cruiser deck which can be unzipped from the back and down the right side. You can roll it up and store it at the front by two velcro straps. It can also be completely removed. When you want to do whitewater or it's a rainy day the cruizer deck is a must. It also keeps you dry when paddeling on calm water. With the cruizer deck there won't be much room for a dog though. If you've got luggage you can fasten it on the front part of the cruizer deck. All in all a handy and versatile little packraft, very robust, light but not extremely light weight, which can be packed compactly and is fun to use.

I have been really satisfied after the first summer. Easy to carry the wilderness to the lake and go fishing. Or even take an urban fishing trip on the Vantaa river and come back home by train. In Lapland, it's convenient when you can load the bike on board and paddle the water sections. Withstands minor scuffs and contact with stones.

Good, maybe not the lightest packraft, but it worked for me when I was fishing. Even though I'm quite clumsy by nature, I haven't made a hole with the hook yet, the material seems really durable, and the small bottom touches haven't left a trace. Now after going on several fishing trips with this, I have a burning desire to go down rapids with it.

Incredibly fun and versatile! It was bought for its own use mainly for fishing, but now it has started to take all kinds of excursions in mind. I am very satisfied with the purchase!
