Product description
Innovative boot with BOA, integrated ankle support and the new Xplore™ system for optimal ski handling.

New developed BC boot for the Xplore™ System with increased comfort, stability and ski handling. ALFA's integrated ankle support system, AISS, improves the stability and control in demanding terrains. The Xplore™ binding system provides great stability in downhills and allows a natural skiing technique with a flex in the sole.

Winter insulated lining with GORE-TEX and thermal midsole keeps the feet warm and comfortable in all conditions. The upper material is treated to repel snow and dirt and the Boa™ Closing System simplifies the step in and allows for individual fit. The boots are also equiped with Recco Rescue System if the accident should happen. The fit in the shoes is spacious so that you have room for thick socks and get good blood circulation. If you are unsure about the size, we recommend you choose the smaller size. Note that certain snow/crust conditions are an extreme strain on the boots’ materials, and with use under such conditions, increased wear is expected.

To easily measure the length of the foot, place a piece of paper against the wall. Then place the foot (barefoot or with a thin sock) on the paper with the heel against the wall. It is important to stand upright when measuring. Put a line in front of the longest toe and measure with a ruler. Measure both feet; it is not uncommon for one foot to be larger than the other. Round up to the nearest integer to find your size.

The approximate size of the packed product or the sales package is 350 x 350 x 150 mm.

Amazing crossover boot for touring and telemark use. Pairs perfectly with my falketind 62’s. I suspect it would pair very well with the rabb or similar madshus, Fischer, etc.

Love the convenience of the boa lace system, but it does not allow you to specifically cinch the heel in place. Been tweaking this fit with inner sole and sock choices. Got it dialed in now. Was concerned about flex pressure on my big toe when testing indoors (upper flex point is well forward on this boot), but this has not been an issue at all in practice so far. I've got bad circulation to my feet, so I was surprised how warm these are at -20C, unlike all my other ski boots. Love the Xplore system. Feels like a big step-up from the NNN-BC system. Overall, a super-sexy design, recommended.

The boot is well made overall. The boa lacing system is fast and efficient. The fit is good and compare well to other manufacturer (i wear size 47). Placing the tongue right can be challenging at first. The step in feature is really cool. The only downside is that the boot doesn’t quite flex at the right place. It flexes somewhere in the toes instead of the arch of the foot.

This is a great product that provides a new horizon of backcountry ski by Rottefella Xplore. I loved this sturdy solid boots that fill the gap between plastic 75 mm telemark boot system and NNN-BC system. By combining this soft shell (in-between intermediate to hard flex) boots with hard flex option to Explore binding, we are now able to make downhill at much steeper terrain. It is recommended to choose a half or one full-size smaller boots to the normal boots size. I love this boots, but want to see how the boots are tuned for increased stability in future.

I've gotten out on these a few times. Order true to size, and at that they are roomy, especially in length. It will be next season before these boots are put to test on multi-day outings for warmth and moisture control. But binding system and boot seem to work well, have a good feel for general touring off of groomed tracks. I've the binding mounted on Fischer sBound 98s. The dual cobra closures on boots work well to adjust foot snugness, with heel cup, separately from ankle tightness.
