Product description

There's a very good reason why most variable-power riflescopes have relatively modest magnification ranges, usually no more than a multiple of five or six (for example, a 3-12x is a multiple of four). While it has certainly been possible to build a riflescope with a multiple of eight, building one that delivers exceptional clarity, resolution and brightness at every setting, across the entire magnification range, has been a major obstacle for optical engineers. Until now. Our new NX8 2.5-20x50 F1 gives you one riflescope that will rule virtually any shooting environment, anywhere on Earth, at almost any distance. It includes advanced DigIllum reticle illumination. Nightforce ZeroStop technology. Your choice of MOA or Mil-Radian adjustments. And the power of eight comes in a sleek, streamlined package a mere 12 inches in length. It just might be the only riflescope you will ever need.

Great value for money binoculars. The image is bright and clear at all magnifications. The grid is working properly but slow to aim & shoot. The adjustment fees are the best you can find on the market and are exactly right. - / + The eye position (Eyebox) is exceptionally accurate. The eye must therefore always hit the exact same place and center. As such, it is “good” because the tube is really sensitive to parallax error and forces you to learn to be consistent. +/- The pipe comes with reversible protective caps that are not of the same quality as the rest of the pipe. The hinge of the back cap also comes noticeably close to the eye and the hinge hits the forehead easily (always if held slightly even carelessly) and practically always hits the bundle turned over. The caps also do not stay in place but rotate open on their own. +/- functional zerostop, which, however, is difficult to reset and set at all. The torque wrench is practically mandatory and I wouldn’t even try to reset under field conditions. Fortunately, this is often not necessary. Then those cons: -Can not withstand frost (<approx. -10C). Even with a completely new battery, the grid constantly flashes very strenuously as a sign of a voltage drop. So you don't just complain about the voltage when you turn it on, it flashes constantly. -Lattice lighting works practically during the day. Even the dim lighting is way too bright in low light and on the other hand with new snow and sunshine, the lighting is not enough during the day at small magnifications (large ones naturally do not need it). - Unusable at lower magnifications (approx. <6x) without lighting. lighting adjustment is idiotically done. The button is pressed and the illumination rotates in a “circle”. So when it gets dark, you have to remember to adjust it so that it comes in a dim direction, if you don't want to dazzle the eye. -light loses to a 10-year-old zeiss. - There are no meters marked in the parallax control. Starts at 10m and lines pretty exactly 100m up to every 10m. Then the gap increases. Very sensitive to parallax. It's a bit boring that you have to craft metrics for this Price Class tube yourself. -Diopter adjustment is poor. It’s tricky to adjust and you don’t know anything about where the “zero point” is. Basically lockable, but the lock does not seem to stay closed. It loosens and spins a lot without being noticed. In summary. A great value for money tube if you use it in good light, relatively warm and you always have time to aim & adjust to parallax.
