Product description

Super lightweight, minimalistic bivy bag for 1 to 2 persons.

A sudden change in the weather, an unforeseen event or an unplanned night in the mountains: A Bivi bag protects you just when it really matters, and belongs in a mountain climber’s basic equipment.

Ortovox BIVY ULTRALIGHT is for all those who spend a lot of time in the mountains and need every gram of weight to count. Our bivi bag weighs only 150 grams and has a minimal pack size. The BIVY ULTRALIGHT is suitable for one to two people and protects from the elements: It is windproof and, thanks to the PU coating, also water and dirt resistant. Light and conveniently sized. It's easy to keep with you whenever you want. Fortunately, it is not needed in an emergency, but it works as additional insulation.

Light, convenient protection for sleeping bags etc. Several times the rain surprised us on the trip and sheltered all the goods at once.

Fortunately, there hasn't been a need yet, but in trial use it would seem like a good emergency accommodation or, for example, in case of an injury or the tent explodes in a storm. Better to be prepared than to perish after spraining your ankle alone in a storm in the open. The material is very thin and I don't think it would hold up to much constant tearing.
