— Show originalI acquired Teric primarily as a travel machine to replace the already aged Suunto D9. despite his likeness, Teric has proven to be a thoroughbred Shearwater teaman: in addition to standard nitics, he supports trimix and even reedy punching. In addition to the meter mode, there is also a freediving mode, which I have not tested, though. The machine has a good contrast and a self-illuminating color display, so even in deeper decks, there is no need to cram or shine the display with a lamp.
Teric supports two pressure sensors. However, then you have to consider buying different colored sensors (different transmission interval). Shearwater does not offer an oxygen-clean sensor, but Aqua Lung's oxygen-clean sensor, for example, is compatible with Shearwater. In this way, you get the pressures of both the base gas and the deco gas in the machine or, respectively, the pressures of both oxygen and Dilu.
The Teric has a battery and comes with a micro-USB plug-in charging dock. My brief grasp of the charge is very positive.
As a whole, the machine is not cheap, but it also offers a high-quality watch-sized machine for the needs of a bred diver.| Overall rating |
