Looks like a really good hiking shoe. Haven't been to Lapland yet, so far only worn in at home and on evening walks. Very traditional looking and high quality feel. I hope it lasts a long time.

Great shoes. This time, Varuste delivered by far the best price-quality compared to other online stores. Paid with credit card. Reliable delivery. Walk for about 1 hour every day through dunes, forest and on the beach. Third pair of Meindl's in 30 years. I have had my previous pair resoled and will last for years. This new pair was broken in last week. The heels of the Vibram soles have a new shape: they are already slightly 'beveled' in the direction of walking, which means that it will probably take longer before (normal) wear occurs again.

Apparently shoes didn't come straight out of the box. There were already scratches here and there on the leather, but after treating them they are no longer visible.

No ware in process there comfortable from day 1 .. used walking in light snow with no issues..

Haven't gone off-road with these yet, but they feel fine. (There is a bit to criticize because one rivet on the shoe's stem was riveted at an angle and fell off when putting the shoes in working order..)

Great boots that are comfortable from new, relatively light weight but still supportive and with good grip. Not ideal for sidling in really mountainous terrain but will get you through most stuff and their flexible sole is a plus for quiet stalking in the forest. Over the last 20 years I have worn out a number of pairs of these Meindl boots covering hundreds of kilometres hunting in the North Island of New Zealand. They used to be available in New Zealand as the "Meindl Sambar" and it is great to be able to still get them - now from Finland!
