The design brief for the ninth version of edge was to radically improve free ride and big air potential, while maintaining its multiple world championship winning speed and race performance.

We have completely re-worked the bar feeling, with the balance between front and rear line pressure optimised for feeling and improved pitch control. Riding the edge v9 you can easily sense where the kite is at any time, the entire bar throw range offers a progressive feedback feel making it turn faster and easier to time the take off for going massive.

Continuous curve struts means we have higher levels of control over sail tension and reduced sail luff through the angle of attack range, giving a smoother ride with less bar bounce. The airfoil section has also been slightly modified for increased hang time, a small refinement but very noticeable in the air. The re-shaped wing tip section combined with re-positioned bridle attachment points increases drive in the turn and enhances load distribution for the leading edge. This directly translates to all-round high performance given any style of riding, all while going fast!

On any type of race or speed course the Edge V9 has a serious performance advantage – warp speed riding at amazing angles will have you clear ahead of the competition. Our unique low-drag pulley-less bridle system using high performance kevlar line is 50% thinner than our standard bridle line, resulting in a vast reduction in parasitic drag increasing acceleration and range. Combined with the race control system and race flying lines the edge v9 truly is the leading performance lei package.

Innovativer CLICK-IN LOOP
Ein völlig neu entwickelter schiebe-Auslösemechanismus ist mit einer unglaublich intuitiven, einschrittigen Reset Funktion ausgestattet. Der Auslösegriff liegt angenehm in der Hand, das System ist schnell und einfach zu aktivieren indem man den Griff von sich weg schiebt. Ein selbstpositionierender Auslösemechanismus setzt sich selbstständig in Position, um durch einfachstes wieder „Einclicken“ des Loops zurückgesetzt zu werden. Der Click-in Loop ist AFNOR NF S52-503 zertifiziert.

Konstruktionsinspiration

Was ist das erste was du tust, wenn du dich in ein Auto setzt? Du klickst den Anschnallgurt ein. Das "Klick" Geräusch gibt dir das Gefühl, sicher angeschnallt zu sein und du weißt instinktiv wie du es zum Abschnallen wieder auslöst.

Die Konstruktion unseres Auslösesystems, dem Click-In Loop, ist genau durch dieses Prinzip inspiriert.
So wie das Anschnallen des Sicherheitsgurts zu einer natürlichen Aktion vor dem Anlassen des Autos geworden ist, so sollten auch Kiter ihr Auslösesystem vor und nach jeder Session aktivieren und wieder zurücksetzen.

Zudem wird dieser wichtige Sicherheitscheck häufig übersehen - die Überprüfung deines Auslösesystems vor jeder Session stellt sicher, dass es sicher funktioniert. Wir entwickelten die Click-In Funktion, um eine simple und intuitive Funktion zu erhalten. So wird das Aktivieren und Zurücksetzen zu einer Handlung, die in Fleisch und Blut übergeht.

WICHTIGER HINWEIS:
Alle Fahrer sollten ihre Kiteleash mit dem Auswehsystem verbinden. Das ist die kleine Öse am Edelstahlring. Wenn das Auslösesystem aktiviert wird, weht der Kite aus und fällt zu Boden / Wasser.

Achte immer darauf, dass deine Leinen frei von Verdrehungen sind und dass die Kiteleash korrekt verbunden ist.

Reinige dein Controlsystem immer mit frischem Wasser nach jeder Session, löse es aus und resete es wieder, um stets die Funktionstüchtigkeit zu prüfen. Verstaue dein Controlsystem mit dem Click-In Loop im ausgelösten Zustand. Resete es beim nächsten Aufbau des Kites.
