FROG.PRO Cobra Operator Belt 2.0

After 7 years and thousands of pieces sold all over the world, the COBRA Operator Belt evolves into its 2.0 version, improved and enriched with new awesome and unique details that only we at FROG.PRO® can offer.

The structure of the COBRA Operator Belt 2.0 is composed by a rigid technopolymer core, wrapped in a continuous double layer of MIL-SPEC MIL-W-17337, Class 2 webbing, on which the proprietary FROG.PRO® Multi Dot MOLLE PALS system made of laser-cut LAHYCO composite fabric is sewn.

In this new version, the LAHYCO fabric intentionally snugger than the width of the webbing: this slight gap of a few millimeters between the laser-cut fabric and the edge of the webbing is functional in preventing wear from rubbing and thereby enhances the operational lifespan of the belt. Furthermore, the greater thickness of the MOLLE PALS upper and lower webbings makes it much more robust than the previous model.

On the inner side there is a strip of Velcro® Ultra-Mate in neutral color, which, thanks to its excellent adhesion power, allows for a solid fixation on the COBRA Trousers Inner Belt. The thin profile of Ultra-Mate®, less rough and aggressive than commonly used velcro, helps in preserving the integrity of the rest of the equipment and clothing as well as eliminating any discomfort from rubbing on the hips caused by traditional tactical belts.

The buckle up system is entrusted to an AustriAlpin COBRA® D-Ring buckle in anodized matte black color that has a breaking load of 18 kN (1835 kgf). This buckle is designed to prevent accidental opening; in fact, the security system allows it to be opened only if not under load and only by pressing both the release buttons.

The D-Ring, with a breaking load of 22 kN (2243 kgf), can be used with the Personal Retention Lanyard or other accessories for rappelling or emergency. A small retention tab is applied to the D-Ring, holding it in place when not in use.

The retention tab is removable and can be replaced with other models such as Blood Type D-Ring Retention Tab or MOLON LABE D-Ring Retention Tab for utility or simple customization.

The COBRA Operator Belt 2.0 is available in four different sizes. A further adjustable Velcro® hook & loop regulation allows to fit the belt while used with garments inside the pants. The Velcro® hook is sewn in order to prevent the accidental removal of the sliding component of the buckle, making it extremely safe.

ATTENTION: The measures shown are related to the inner circumference of the belt when closed. For a correct sizing, wear the garments you would use together with the belt and wear the COBRA Trousers Inner Belt or a similar belt, then measure your waist circumference with a soft tape measure directly above the latter. If you don’t have a soft tape measure, you can use a non-elastic rope and then measure it with a hard meter.
