Sweet Protection Blaster MIPS

The Blaster MIPS is a new take on in-mold winter helmets, focusing on great coverage and high performance. This version allso got the MIPS system integrated, a technology that can dramatically reduce rotational forces to the brain. In other words, it combines state of the art engineering, materials and protection. The sides have integrated ABS “side impact hard shells” that reinforce the side construction, while securely attaching the webbing and ear pads. Impact absorption is handled through integrated impact shields, which optimize the impact geometry through strategically placed volumes and curved ribs. Channeled ventilation links up the eight outlets, ensuring plenty of breathability through the liner. The helmet fits great, is easily adjustable with the help of Occigrip and is topped off with a 1mm polycarbonate shell. This superlight package sets a new standard for the quality and protection in an in-mold helmet.

INTEGRATED IMPACT SHIELDS
This is our impact protection technology integrated in the EPS core of a helmet. Through a strategic placement of volumes and ribs in curved shapes, it creates an optimized impact geometry, distributing the impacts over a larger surface area.

MIPS-MULTIDIRECTIONAL IMPACT PROTECTION SYSTEM
A unique technology developed to reduce brain injuries. MIPS reduces the rotational forces to the brain, MIPS allows the helmet to slightly rotate relative to the head giving the brain the vital few milliseconds time to decelerate. Helmets are tested by dropping them vertically onto a flat surface. MIPS is designed to deal with how most accidents actually occur, with oblique impacts to the head. MIPS sets a new standard in helmet safety.
